A2A Converter Introduction
A2AConverter is an any-2-any Converter suitable to convert almost any business document format, where information items can be easely mapped on both structured or semi-structured files.
A2AConverter can be integrated into another software through an API or used directly using the command-line.
Conversion Adapters are designed by the user by mapping data between different business document models and their profiles.
The converter is complemented by a mapping tool called "A2AMapper" that is meant to design both profiles and adapters.
A Test Environment allows to analyze the parsing phase of non-XML files in order to verify the quality of the document Profile.
Business Document Conversion
XML-based document formats are considered today the preferred way to represent structured information, and the cheapest to process in terms of time and complexity.
However business documents are still represented into different formats, either proprietary (in-house formats), standardized across a community and even global standards.
Whatever the document format is, it will be rarely implemented as a whole, that's why we talk about implementation "profiles" where specific requirements are agreed between parties and communities.
This reason document conversion has an important role in the transition to new XML-based formats, but its use can be extended to:
- Initializing a document with data sourced by another business document (e.g. Order - Invoice)
